I enjoyed his broadcasting and liked his autobiography.

Except maybe for hearing Al Michaels voice, no other takes me back to my youth like hearing Gifford. The glory days of MNF for me.

I never saw him play but he was a great player in the formative years of the NFL. I do remember his as a broadcaster. He was the voice of reason and sanity in a booth that would be filled with insanity at times. He was very good at PBP and being an analyst. He was truly an institution on Monday television. RIP Frank Gifford.
