Sorry, I can't get excited about Ryan LaMarre. He's almost 27 and he put up a pedestrian .707 OPS at Louisville this year in 300 ABs (by comparison, Boesch had a .832 OPS). The guy doesn't suck, but I can't imagine he's a part of the future plans for the Reds. Anyone concur, disagree?

Checked box score a bit ago and got sidetracked. Of all of the players who have had 23 triples in one season there have been on ten times all of those players have amassed 20 HR in a year (doesn't have to be same year).....8 of those 10 have been by Curtis Granderson. No one else has had 23 triples in a season and more than 25 HR in any other season....Granderson has had seasons of 41 and 40.

He has had a crazy career in many different stats.

He has scored 136 runs, 38 doubles, 23 triples, 41 HR, 119 RBI, 26 SB (only caught once that season), 85 BB, 195 K

Silly stuff....hit .220 and over .300

Random thought, but if this goes on a whole lot longer, it may become Team Riggleman.

They'll go on a 5-game winning streak and he'll quit if not offered a 3-year extension.

Even with this loss, we're only projected to have the No. 4 overall pick.

*sigh*

Need to get into that top 3. Won't be easy. 8-game losing streaks (and counting) helps though.

Alright we just need three this inning and seven in the ninth (adjusting for the runs given up in the top of the ninth).

Except for Bruce's play in the 8th, the Reds just look beaten. No enthusiasm, no energy, etc.

Just for thought....what starting guys won't touch an innings limit come Sept? Could we see a 6 or 7 man rotation?

A team is like a shark. It has to keep moving forward to live. What we have here is a dead shark.
