What an impressive Reds starting outfield combined 1 hr 21 rbi's in 289 abs and a combined .196 batting average. Lets put a strong line up behind Iglasias to break the losing streak. Totally expect the threesome to have 8 hits today and drive in 5 runs.

Frazier doesn't care if he gets much to hit.

If Frazier wouldn't have fallen off the earth would Votto's numbers that he's known for be as high? Can both be hot at same time?

On this day in 1989 Nolan Ryan struck out his 5,000th batter....on what looked to be an exploding 98 mph fastball. He was 42 years and 8 months.

Went on to strike out 10 or more in a game 21 more times and 13 or more 10x. The next year he pitched a 10 inning shutout allowing 3 base runners and fanning 15....also added another no-hitter striking out 16 and then at 44 another no hitter and 14 strikeouts. Insane pitch counts looking through those starts.

So, a player should bunt every time he's going to make an out and the next player will get a hit.

Check.

I'm not sure many managers would bunt when the next two hitters are a rookie with zero hits to his credit and the pitcher.

Unless they knew something we don't. And, of course, if Skip had bunted, there is no guarantee that the same resold would have happened. In fact, the odds are, they wouldn't have.

This strategy by the reds seems to mirror the "suck for Luck" done by Indy a few yrs. ago. Chucky very well might have read this team's playbook. I guess our only real hope is that there is a baseball version of Luck available come June 2016. Kill me.

C'mon Price....I just cussed until the dog left the room and cowered under the dining room table because of YOU.

We finally catch a break with Skip getting a gift double with World Series Nelson Cruz in RF.....with 2 outs you let LaMarre hit, not Bruce the lefty who can hit it to row S of section 141 and can just replace him in the OF....or even Suarez who has been excellent with the bat.....then you p!$$ me off even more by having him on deck with 2 outs.....he can't get lucky with 3 outs.

Not even trying....freaking Chukie would've done more to win this game. Go back to the Grand Canyon state and suck....and take Thom with you.

It's almost as if Bryan Price is an idiot. Almost.

Glad Price saved Bruce to lead off an inning in a 4-0 game.

40 games left after this beaut. How many do the reds win? 11 gets them to only 100 losses. I'd go with 14 wins.

These guys can't be this bad, can they? The 1962 Mets were better than this. Next, they will be accused of trying to lose.

Tomorrow my lineup:

1. DeJesus 2nd
2. Suarez SS
3. Barnhart C
4. LaMarre CF

I don't know about anyone else. Play Skip...I don't care.

I'm over it

Reds did this last year too. Second half of the 2014 season was as bad as I've seen. But this year is in the running.

Tank Ball!!! Race for the cellar! I'm so excited for that draft pick!

I can very well see them losing 100 or more. They still have many with the Cards, Pirates, Dodgers, Cubs, Giants, etc. Winning more than 11 out of 40 may be a stretch at this point.

I don't see the big 100, but definitely 95. 100 is well within reach for 2016.

I listened to the last three innings on the radio.... Isn't it about time for Cast to come out and say we are not going to loose anymore?

Only 39 times in history before today did a pitcher K at least 13, allow one or fewer ER and take the loss. Raisel Iglesias was the 40th.
