FYI
@Reds: Leading up to Riverfest, there will be short bursts of fireworks near GABP on-the-hour starting at noon. We do not expect it to impact play.

Just heard them go off and thought it was signally the organist to start playing! It was "Lunch with the Beatles" recordings before that... [emoji74]

BP bloop single to CF makes it 1st and 3rd for Bruce

Weird play at first, Bruce called safe on a grounder to first and a run scores.

Brewers are challenging, I think he may have been out.

Good thing Suarez is batting 7th and won't get a chance to bat in a first-and-third, two-outs situation.

Said by no one (except the Brewers).

And I like DeJesus, but batting him ahead of Suarez makes no sense. Batting Schumaker ahead of Suarez yesterday took the cake though. That was so incredibly stupid ... and Price learned nothing from it.

Especially after what happened yesterday, "seems silly" doesn't even do it justice. I would go with "incredibly stupid." Suarez should never bat below 5th in the lineup IMO. Maybe 6th next year when Mesoraco is back, but on this team right now, he should never bat lower than 5th. Let alone 7th. Price continues to prove he's in over his head and doesn't learn from his cadre of mistakes.

It's not so much the order but the cluster that makes a difference. If you give the pitcher some rest spots along the way, he can puck his way through the good hitters.

Plus it's not like Frazier is a burner on the basepaths, he's a good runner who can swipe a base if when pitcher gives him the chance. Nelson was throwing over and keeping him close, having him still try and steal the base as though he's Billy Hamilton was terrible.

Think it goes back to the rumors last year of Reds players thinking Votto should have been playing hurt.

And the article about their approaches from spring training

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2015/03/23/cincinnati-reds-joey-votto-brandon-phillips-on-base-percentage-rbi/70337854/

"I don't do that MLB Network on-base percentage (stuff),'' Phillips told USA TODAY Sports. "I think that's messing up baseball. I think people now are just worried about getting paid and worrying about on-base percentage instead of just winning the game.

"That's the new thing now. I feel like all of these stats and all of these geeks upstairs, they're messing up baseball, they're just changing the game. It's all about on-base percentage. If you don't get on base, then you suck. That's basically what they're saying. People don't care about RBI or scoring runs, it's all about getting on base.

These have been the 2 ugliest bunt attempts I've seen. He seems like he was scared of the ball.

Bourgeois can't bunt. Glad we have him up there doing that instead of letting Duvall have the at-bat and seeing if he can hit one over the wall.

Booger singles to left tho, bases loaded no outs for Frazier.

I wish the Reds still had Jared Burton. Then they could have a batting order with the 8th and 9th hitters would be...

LaMarre Burton.

#STNG

Like the glory days when the Reds had an outfield of Young, Frank and Stynes.

Frazier swings at 2 balls, run scores but GIDP. Frustrating.

@JoeyNOTto: @Tclett_FanofBP I played D1 ball (UC), so I know what Im talking about. We were told a walk with risp is not much better than an out.

Votto failed again

I would have loved to hear Jeff Piecoro roast Pete Rose

Rare selfishness from BP, he hands off the responsibility to drive in the runner from 3rd to Bruce.

This is why some fans still don't get OBP.

Chappy picks up the save with relative ease, two Ks and a groundout.

We're good again! :beerme:

I have had enough of JJ Hoover for one lifetime.

Trade him now...ER, as soon as possible. He's back to 2014 form. And I agree with your sentiment.
