And some doubted that the Reds would play in October this year!

Lamb vs Cubs- Its's Baby Animals Day at the ballpark!

It’s raining, but looks like they’re going to try to start this on time #Reds

1-2-3 first for Lamb, but he struggled to throw strikes. Might be due to the rain.

From the Cubs broadcast:

Maddon spoke at leangth about the importance of team chemistry, personalities, and veteran leadership.

Dave Otto said about Lamb, "He looks like he has the General Lee parked out back."

Tom Servo

Damnit, thought for a minute Joey had #30. Just a deep, deep flyout.

Tom Servo

DatDude K's with Bourgeois on 3rd and 1 out. Thom weeps somewhere.

Bruce rung up on a questionable full count call.

Marty is at his acid best today.
Weather must have cut his golfing short today.

Rizzo flies out to center, I thought it was gone off the bat. He and Votto probably not digging this cold, rainy weather today.

Tom Servo

Lamb's outing confirmed to be better than his last one against the Mets as he has two scoreless on 28 pitches.

Jesus Schwarber struck out.

Maybe because they are both fat, but I'm predicting Schwerber has a similar career to Matt Adams.

Another red letter inning for Reds hitting.

That's Barnhart's 10th GIDP this year, pretty impressive given his lack of PAs.

Like I said yesterday, the Reds aren't even allowing any silver linings. Think it would be nice to have DeSclafani or Lamb end the season on a good note? Too bad, loser.

I feel like Reds pitchers are pretty bad at fielding their position, a lot of balls up the middle that could be knocked down. Leake didn't give enough lessons.

Did Jackson use to be in the Reds farm system?

No he was drafted by the Yankees. He went to the Tigers as part of the Granderson/Scherzer/ Jackson/ Kennedy three team deal. He went to Seattle last July and to the Cubs earlier this season.

Nope. Former coveted Yankees prospect, went to Detroit in Max Scherzer/Ian Kennedy deal and stayed there until last year when Seattle picked up him for the playoff stretch. Now to Chicago.

No. He was originally in the Yankees organization, and went to Detroit in the three-team Granderson/Scherzer deal. He then went to Seattle in the three-team deal that sent David Price from Tampa to Detroit.

It could be. Reds aren't interested in playing at all. They will lose all three in Pittsburgh. Phils could win two this weekend if they play. Lots of rain predicted for the northeast. They may not play at all if the predictions come true.

just now checking in. I love Lamb's ability to rack up K's, but he has got to figure a way to induce weaker contact.

That said, if Lamb strikes out the side in any game, that needs to be called a "Rack of Lamb".

I didn't really see the 'Lorenzen to the bullpen' thing but I am starting to get more on board with it. The biggest thing though is that even a small sample size (3 games, 4 innings), he hasn't walked anybody since shifting to the pen. The walks are what really killed him this year.

I still think he can be a starter, but he has to learn how to be deceptive with his stuff. Otherwise he will just have to throw really hard out of the pen.

He had a nice inning there. I don't know if he can be a starter but nothing is written in stone with most of the pitching staff.

No comment on the ridiculous Phillips play? Lol

He was on 3rd and deep infield fly to SS/3rd area and after the catch he tries to make a fool of Baez and while Baez is 50 feet off 3rd with the ball Phillips dances 20 feet off the base and just falls down lol....got in a ridiculous rundown and tagged out.

He looked really old.

He just slipped on the wet field. He probably shouldn't have tried to juke him like that but if it was dry he would have gotten back to 3rd easy.

This losing streak is the longest since 1993. The last time they lost 13 in a row was 1945. 70 years ago. I don't know what the record is for the longest losing streak for the Reds but they have to be getting close to it.
