Since when did St. Patty's Day become celebrated on the 13th

In the best years, doesn't it start on the 13th and just keep going?

Bot 1: Mesoraco just crushed the 3rd pitch he saw -- for a very high, and deep 2-run HR to LF. #reds

#reds bunt news: Votto tried laying one down... rolled just foul down line by unattended 3B. Bruce bunted a foul pop, was caught by catcher

tied at 2 in the bottom of the 2nd.

Stephenson gave up 1 in the first with a HBp, steal, goes to 3rd on groundout, scores on WP. Run in second on single, goes to 2nd on Bruce error, scores on Suarez error.

single, single, kipnis homer, out single triple and Indians go up 6-2 and R Steeve goes to the showers.

Mes came out after 2 which was the plan.

Cabrera now behind plate. Mesoraco was expected to get 2 innings in 1st game. Will talk with him later to see how he felt. #reds

Does Dayan Diaz have any shot at making the team? His MiLB ststs aren't bad (control could be better).

Holy Rallycaps Batman! Reds up 8-6. Bruce and Schleber have homered as the Greens gradually chipped away at the Indian lead.

Phillips with 2 doubles, Suarez and Cabrerra with a double each, BHam with a triple. Reds add 3 in the 5th to take that 8-6 lead going into the 6th,

How about Peraza and Schebler so far in spring training? And Dixon with that HR last night. Good stuff.

Over/under that if the trade looks to be a success this season that a certain poster shifts the 'blame' on Williams to the 'credit' to Jocketty? :)

Disconcerting start for BobSteve.

Did Mes have a set back or was he only expected to catch a couple innings? I am assuming because they batted him second they only expected a couple of innings.

Announced ahead of time he'd only be playing 2 innings.

His home run didn't go far enough, so they benched him.

I hate following much ballyhooed pitching prospects like Stephenson. I get one start is a tiny sample size, especially one in spring training, but good grief Robert, show us something!

I have high expectations that Stephenson will be a good pitcher for the Reds for a lot of years. I just think people got too carried away expecting it in 2016. He still has a lot to refine and the type of stuff he needs to do will get him blown off the mound in the major leagues IMO. He might be ready in a couple of months, but it may not be until 2017. These kids don't develop just because we want them too. If he's still at this point next year at this time, I may lower my expectations, but I still am dreaming on him as a TOR starter maybe starting in 2018. Lets get him consistently throwing quality strikes in AAA before all this talk of devoting a rotation spot to him. With Simon in the fold, I hope they send Stephenson down ASAP.
