Bit of a late start on this but some great almost comebacks today by Wichita State and Yale. IU and UK in a great game at halftime now. UALR and ISU up next.

Is Indiana going to have anybody left to finish this game?

Man, that move by Ulis to split two defenders and double pump/hang in the air to get the bunny was an incredible display of athletisicm.

I think both teams are pretty even, but I'm just an Indiana fan so clearly I must give way to your greatness as a fan of Kentucky.

Most evenly matched IU/UK game in years

Yes.
To be fair, when I typed that Morgan, Johnson, Ogbono (?), Morgan, and Williams had all went out with injuries.
Best team doesn't always win.
Problem is, Kentucky wasn't the better team. If anything, they were evenly matched. Indiana got hosed on their seeding in the tournament but the tv execs got their wish. One fanbase was going to be disappointed, but at least with Kentucky we all knew going in this year was likely a bridge year.

Indiana won that game and controlled the last 10 minutes without Robert Johnson, their best defensive guard and a key offensive player. With the injuries, Ryan Burton, a Senior walk-on was getting important minutes. IU was definitely the better team in that game and likely just the better team

That I have no idea what a foul is in college basketball has made it pretty difficult for me to really follow this year. Regular season literally everything was a foul, but in the tournament some games guys are mauling each other with no calls, but others they're calling legitimate good defense fouls. College officiating has always had its probs, but whatever changes they've tried to implement have only confused what were already terrible officials.
Figure something out and stick with it. Or keep calling the garbage you're calling and go to 6 fouls for a foul out.

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration.
College hoops has had one major problem (in their eyes anyway), scoring was down. The reason scoring was down is because players were worse. The reason players were worse is because good players got out of working in a multi billion dollar industry for free to go get their paycheck ASAP.
You don't fix that by "freedom of movement" or whatever it is they called it. By keeping 5 fouls as the DQ and calling legit defense a foul you're often times sidelining the few entertaining good players you do have because he handchecked a guy at halfcourt.
I didn't think college hoops needed fixed, although I do admit there was a lot of ugly basketball in recent years. I just don't think you fix broken arms with bandaids.
Good players play good, entertaining basketball. Bad players shooting 10 more FTs/game doesn't make the game sexier. It's not rocket science.

After destroying Utah, it's looking more and more like this is the year that Mark Few and Gonzaga finally crash the Final Four party.

The Big East did that for a year or two back in the '80s or 90s. It was a hack fest.

This is certainly their best chance. Knock off either Syracuse or Middle Tennessee, and they probably get kinda shaky UVA for a shot at the Final Four.
