Could be worse. He lead off earlier this spring.

Based on the recent trends, guessing Rais gets beaten around a lil bit.

First play, Christian Adames strokes one to center that Billy Hamilton dives for and misses. Triple.

Nice work by Iggy. Strikeout, little grounder back to the mound by CarGo, and groundout to avoid damage from the leadoff triple. The stuff looks good, hopefully the stamina is gradually increasing.

Wow, a nice short swing from Billy Havoc for a double.

Nice recovery by Ghul!

Cozart and Votto grounded out and Billy out at home trying to score on a wild pitch from 3rd.

single on a ball back to Iggy, a slicing double just out of Yorman's reach, and a HR by Chris Valakia's little brother. Man, this spring training is uggo.

Chris Welsh making the point that Goodyear seems pretty HR friendly.

Now DatDude launches a HR to left to make it 3-1.

Ugh. Guess my first instinct was correct after all.

a HR by Chris Valakia's little brother.

I know their dad. Cool guy, great family. Glad Pat has made it this far.

How long has DatDude been going old school with the high socks?

How does Iggy Raszeala look?

He's looking a lot like Villareal at the moment... :ughmamoru:

Pedro Villareal started the 4th and gets 2 quick outs followed by a soft liner to center for a single. With the runner still at 1st, Pat Valaika is set down on a warning track fly to left-center.

good guys are down 3-2.
Suarez with a nice compact swing on a high fastball lines a single to right-center. Jay Bruce is up with a duck on the pond.

Bruce one hops back to 1st and they try to turn 2 but miss the back end leaving Bruce on 1st.
YRod looks really bad swinging at 3 pitches in a row for a K.
Tucker B takes a slider oppo for a double scoring Bruce. Tie ball game 3-3
Villareal finishes up th einning with a K.

Reds tie it at 3 runs 6 hits apiece as they go to the 5th. Barnhart tied things up with a double.

Bruce with a nice check swing double... bunting is to easy for him, he starts to hit check swing doubles now

Chris starts talking about analytics in platooning players and Thom starts fawning over Bob Brenly's "gut" decisions in 2001.

The Drew Hayes who throws the ball in the vicinity of the zone is pretty good, lots of swings and misses.

Back to back 9th innings jacks by Razor Ramon Cabrera and Bryson Smith to make it a one run game.

I would love to see Hayes make the club. One of the truly good guys in the game. I don't think he has ever made more than $10,000 in a season so any time in the bigs would be great for him and his family. Man was he good in Dayton. ERA was 1.35; in 60 innings, 29 hits, 89 Ks. Gave up 9 runs in a full season. It was an 8-inning game that year.
