Morris starting? I'm guessing it's a bullpen day.

That's what Trent tweeted.

One year removed from not having a backup first baseman ... we have at least 2 this year!

Duvall of course. And then the "Fight Doctor" Jordan Pacheco.

We're going to give up a lot of runs today. We've been giving up a lot of runs all Spring.

Speak for yourself.

I haven't given up a single run this spring.

Reds still with 40 guys in camp, albeit some injured. At this late date. Pretty unusual.

Reds up 2-0 in the fourth on back to back singles by Duvall and Schebler, the latter is 2-2 today.

Morris: 3 IP 3H 2 BB 4 K

3-0 after a Pikachu single. Or whichever pokemon he is.

Barnhart walks. Peralta getting mildly roughed up.

Shut the door on Morris. 3.1 IP 3 hits 3 BB's 4 K's 0 Runs.

If you are going to have a bullpen day, that's how you make your case to stay with the team. I'm guessing he's Louisville bound, but that was decent work.

In comes Ohlendorf.

Ohlendorf immediately gives up a hit to the monster that is Aaron Hill.

Ohlendorf induces the groundball out, runners at 2nd and 3rd, 2 out. The SS Villar up.

Villar grounds out to end the inning.

Morris was sent down already actually, like RobSteve he was just brought back due to the rotation reshuffling. I though he acquitted himself pretty nicely this spring, was a little surprised that he didn't make it to final cuts in the first place. I think he could be a solid arm out of the bullpen this season when given the chance, think a 7.0 K/9, 3.0 BB/9 type. Nothing great but cheap and serviceable.

Adam Duvall just hit a ball over the batter’s eye here at Maryvale. 4th of the spring. Wow. Nobody moved, everyone knew it was out by sound

Add Votto in the three hole and Mesoraco in the cleanup spot, and that lineup might be the best the Reds have.

You could even move Peraza to CF, Schebler to LF, Duvall to 3B, and Suarez to SS if you'd like.

Caveman baseball. Get the fever!

Reds got some decent pitching today. Morris, Ohlendorf and Diaz didn't allow a run (though Jumbo was walking the tightrope the whole inning), Cotham had a rough day. Duavall had that monster HR and another hit, Shebler was 3-5, as was Pacheco. Unless I'm wrong (which is frequently), this team is going to be good offensively. Pitching? Not so much.

holy cow

Duvall's had himself a really, really nice spring.

That platoon looks tasty a week before the season starts.

Assuming neither he nor Schebler Boesch it, LF could be the second-best offensive position on the squad.
