Compared to Hoover? Yep, I'd anoint Wood right now and let him unearn the job. Already know Hoover
isn't closer material. Can't figure Price's thinking. Guy walks 4 per 9, gives up the long ball too often, is a flyball pitcher. Everything you don't want in a closer.

Think he knows who Eddie Rabbit is?

Eddie probably played at Brantley's wedding.

Thom shouldn't be expected to know this; he's too busy telling people all about the kyle schwarber and josh harrison.

Gregg pitched 10 innings for the reds.

Yes it was 10 too many, but still.

And he had his role. Until he mercifully was taken away from Price.

Yep, he cut up some taters and carrots, and put him in a stew!

Hoover always makes me think of the fire signs you see in the national forests, arrow firmly in the red

Hoover clearly a no-pressure kinda guy - no one on, three quick outs to finish the game

Moby's on the mound tomorrow, so some offense would be nice. No Sunday specials; let's take two of three.

Uh...Disco is on the DL, Thom.

He can't be expected to keep up with stuff like that, what with Arizona, the family, kooky SABR folks...

I wondered about that yesterday whether it might have been better to have brought in Wood for that last out in the 8th, but hindsight's 20/20, right?

No, I went to 63-99 when they picked up Straily. Whither Straily? I gotta stick with it for now, but enjoying it while I can.

it will be close depending on the bullpen. I said 62-100 (I think), but a adjustment here and there and it might be 75-87. I'm not holding my breath, but anything else is a bonus, In the meantime, it's been fun.
