This is probably the best possible starting 8 right now and probably the best line-up. I know Mes isn't playing.

Now, it'd be nice if he can throw less than 30 pitches in this the first inning.

yes St. Pauli is the short version of Sankt Pauli and it is a "religious" name... Sankt is the same as saint and Pauli another version for (most likely) Paulus...

St. Pauli is a district in Hamburg called after a church (which was destroyed hundred of years ago but gave the district the name)... It is famous for the Reeperbahn (red light district in Hamburg)

St. Pauli was very popular with sailors from all over the world => calling the beer girl st. pauli made some sense ;)... the club and the fans of the FC St. Pauli are known for their left wing politics..

I don't speak German, though I can sometimes understand a few words and phrases through context. So I figured that Sankt Pauli was probably the German for Saint Paul. I also was aware that the original meaning of "St. Pauli Girls" was in reference to prostitutes and brothel workers.

Not sure what these veterans are adding, they can't win a ballgame, they are totally non-competitive.
