If I called Reds games when our bullpen was giving up dingers left and right you guys would hate me lol.

He's very good at the NFL and is one of FOX's go to pbp guys. Maybe he just sucks at baseball?Maybe with baseball in general he does get too emotionally attached, which admittedly is easy to do when you watch guys every day for 6 months. Because even with the D'backs, some of their fans complained that he was overly negative. And you wouldn't think he'd have nearly the attachment with them that he does here in Cincy.

Perhaps he's better with the other sports because it's more of a rotating basis.

You're probably right.

As good as he is I bet it does take some serious professionalism to not get overly negative if things are going bad with baseball. Which he obviously struggles with.

But yeah, Jim Day was solid tonight.

Pleasing game with a solid start by Straily and great bullpen work. The pen allowed only one hit and no runs! Great pbp from Day and three long balls. Add to that the fact that their manager (Clint Hurdle) says the only reason Hamilton was able to run down that ball was that the ball was going out to left and they hit it to center (huh?), and Tekulve says that those three homers wouldn't have been anyplace in the league. Glad to see their poor crew cry. Let's do it again tomorrow.

Votto's homer absolutely would have still been a home run in the LF corner at PNC.
