Nice to see the rebuilding Reds starting Ivan DeJesus Jr. over Jose Peraza.

Is this Price's way of pouting? Price knows he won't be around next year. (Dick's comments earlier this week make that pretty clear IMO.) Why should he care about developing Peraza?

What a joke. There is not one Reds fan that would rather see DeJesus in the lineup over Peraza today. I was looking forward to seeing where he was batting in the lineup and what position he would play. I was almost floored when I saw he wasn't in the lineup. I say "almost" because Bryan Price doing dumb things is commonplace by now.

Price is a bit of a Dusty disciple.....in all the bad ways possible more than any of the good. One of those seems to be that he does not believe he has to cater to any rebuilding and that it entails playing a guy like Peraza.

Bench players have to stay sharp.

Bench players have to stay sharp. If that was the case, why did he not bat him last night instead of the almost sure out (not that Ivan is any less sure out) Cabrerra? As much as Dusty confounded me, Price does it double. That said, what's the use of giving Peraza a trip to the majors and then sit him on the bench?

Pereza did start yesterday in CF and he batted 2nd.

The only thing that Price seems to have more than Dusty, who I was OK with most of the time.....is more flexibility with a batting order but even then the CF/SS still bats 1st/2nd no matter who they seem to be.

Oh and that need to be overly aggressive to the point of stupidity on the base paths until the whole team is full of TOOBLAN who seem to have no clue how to run the bases is aggravating.

If Peraza is not good enough defensively to play SS with the Reds, he becomes immediately less interesting as a prospect.

He's played a solid SS in Louisville, and De Jesus is certainly no Cozart himself.

I don't have video, but Straily was on the bases in the top half of that inning. Any chance he got hurt sliding?

At this point in time if you blow on a Reds player you might be taking a chance of an injury. My fine china has more reseliency. Lamb already hurt himself swinging a bat. I mean even Bartolo Colon, who should get hurt anytime he moves a round more than a 1 yard radius... does not get hurt this much.

I really do not know..... I am frustrated.
