Yep. The 2nd one. When Jack Parkman played for the Indians, his schimmy drove the women in Cleveland wild. When he was traded to the White Sox, it made them puke.

Good call Jake on Brett and Carew. Growing up watching those guys is the reason I'm still fascinated by batting average hitters. I know, I know...BA is a poor stat. Sorry, I like what I like. :O)

Those guys, especially Boggs and Brett had quite a few monster OBP seasons over .450 if I recall correcty.

You passed your first test. :D

Welcome to the forum.

Instead of the Touring Test, maybe we can call this the "Junkhead Test." ;)

It's so strange how offended people are at how much money Votto makes.

Anyone that doesn't think it's because of Marty and/or pDoc are crazy.

Oh absolutely, because everyone who isn't satisfied with Joey Votto's play is an idiot who can't think for themselves. So much easier to let Marty and Paul do the thinking instead.

At least we didn't have to endure the Thom scorn and disdain tonight.

Outside of that hot HR streak 2 weeks ago, BP has been mostly mediocre this season too (OBP below .300 for the year.) Don't mistake me as one of his fanboys. He's got to get it together too.

I'm borderline intrigued to watch this bullpen based on nothing other than to see how bad they might be. Expectations are gone, emotional investment is minimal. Love em but I'ma just embrace this ride. I don't think I could sit on the other side for the next however many months it'll last.

I don't see how calling one of the most overpaid players in the league 'Mr. Moneybags' is weird at all. But to each their own.

Agree it's weird to get upset about it. Disagree that he's one of the most overpaid players in baseball. Way too early for that.

Joey Votto is fun at parties with his Mounties hat. He also does great obscene shadow puppets.

Where did I say anything about being satisfied or dissatisfied with Votto's play?

I am simply referring to the offense people have for Joey's income. I think it's weird.

Fair enough - hopefully he can get it together

History says he will. I don't think he's done. Not even close. But again, this is what you open yourself up to when you sign that kind of deal as an athlete. He's fortunate in that he plays in a place like Cincinnati, and that there's no expectations for the team this year. If he was a Met? Or in pretty much any other big market? He'd be getting skewered far worse by both fans and media than what he gets now.

Ever hear of Bernie Sanders? All people do is complain about what others make, and for athletes, it's been going on since the first million dollar contract was signed. Weird huh?

So you know that lots of people complain about the income of others. It's not just Joey Votto.

And it's been going on with athletes since at least the 80's. I can remember Dave Winfield getting raked over the coals for a deal that paid him less than $2 mil per. Again, this isn't a phenomenon exclusive to Joey Votto, conjured up in the deep caverns of Marty's brain. It's been a part of sports since Moses wore short pants.

I have never heard Bernie complain about the income of individuals. Who has he complained about?

Are you referring to him saying banks should pay taxes?
