When Suarez becomes a bit more selective, I'm sure the Reds will consider moving him up.

He struck out 10 times in the three game Seattle series.

Whenever the Reds play in L.A., I always look at the VIP seats behind home plate and try to convince myself that a celebrity is sitting there. Monday night I thought I saw Mary Hart. Tonight it's the guy from the "world's most interesting man" commercials. So, am I weird?

Yes it was Mary Hart she is there a lot. Usually Larry King is right next to her in the front row but I have not seen him this series.

Vin Scully just casually mentioned Ernie Bonham (http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/bonhati01.shtml) as one of the first he remembered who threw a weighted ball for arm strength. The guy pitched from 1940-1949.

After an 1-4 start in 1949, Bonham won six straight games for a floundering Pittsburgh club, including an 8–2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on August 28, his final game. Eighteen days later Bonham died in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the age of 36, following an appendectomy and stomach surgery.

If the Reds fire Price I doubt it would be to get a short term "bounce" in the standings. This season will be about 100 losses regardless.

The question is the atmosphere in the clubhouse. If all the losing is causing a tense clubhouse with everybody pressing, then a change is necessary. Even if Price isn't actually causing that atmosphere.

I support Price and think he's been dealt a lousy hand. But constant losing sometimes requires that a change be made.

I recall some years ago when the Reds had terrible pitching.

Eventually, each year, the hitting went south. It's just too much pressure to always play from behind.

Guys swing for the fences, start to press.

The pitching is the main culprit, but the offense isn't helping. Looking forward to some new faces returning from DL or joining from the minors. Team right now unwatchable.

While I wouldn't cry if Votto were to get into a car wreck or whatever, an injury bad enough to force him into retirement is really the only possible saving grace for this team. They NEED to get out of that contract.

The powers that be know that Price was dealt a bad, really impossible hand, so All Star Break is my guess. As much as I believe that Bryan Price was a bad hire, a man not suited to manage anything, and a mistake, I feel for him. They took a guy who hadn't managed anything, and put him in where a experienced manager had been successful and then expected him to perform. Stupid decision. He's gone sooner than later.
