I show this is Duvall's first game as a Red at 3B. Interesting...wonder if this is just a day off for Suarez or we might see more Duvall at 3B in the future. Suarez has really fallen off....

Probably more of an indication that the Fight Doctor isn't going to be substitute 3B any longer.

If Duvall can handle 3B full time, that's a real game changer for the Reds moving forward.

In theory I don't mind moving Wright to the bullpen where he can be good, but it pains me to know he gets the boot from the rotation while Simon remains.

Supposedly it is because the bullpen was overworked yesterday, so Wright was moved for added depth. But he also said that Moscot will be joining the rotation in Denver.

Personally, I think he'll hold his own at the plate. Middling hitter. He'll run into the occasional dinger. But for a back up catcher...he's more than fine for that role IMO. As a starter...not so much.

Agreed, I think he's great as a backup. But I think some people got fooled by his hot start and forgot that his career OPS in the minors is .697. He can hit some singles and take some walks (though he's not doing it much this year so far), but that's about it. His defense is his calling card.

I'm still on the fence. He's still only 23, the BB/9 to K/9 ratio can still improve with maturation. If we have 5 better starting options within the next year, then move him to the pen. If we don't, and he's still healthy, I keep him in the rotation.

Depends on how the rest of this season goes, I imagine. He's seems likely to be AAA bound by July, if he does well there he might see some time in Cincy in September given that he is on the 40 Man roster. It's not out of the question he could push for a rotation spot in spring training next year.

Marty not accepting DeJesus not getting the tag in.

It's unacceptable.

As it's unacceptable DeJesus should immediately be released I suppose. WaltDick should fly to Milwaukee and send DeJesus away immediately.

Unacceptable.

If the Reds released every player who Marty deemed had done something "unacceptable", we wouldn't have any players left.

Another player that should go along with Cotham is Serpico here. As bad as it gets with bench players who can play multiple positions but never really do....not do they hit.

I'm guessing you mean Jon Pertwee, the Third Doctor. His son, Sean Pertwee, is Alfred Pennyworth on the FOX series, Gotham.

I should just go look it up but I have been too busy or lazy?

Ahh, you mean Tom Baker, the Fourth Doctor. (He is my first memory of the Doctor when I first saw it on PBS as a kid.)
