I didn't know who it was....dressed up but jacket didn't cover his belly. I wasn't sure it was him but it was my guess. Finally they said who he was. They must need someone lesser to go to the stuff they attend during Fanfest of the ASB

Man take Freeman out of that lineup and nothing is left - over the hill or never were on the hill to begin with. One nice thing about Wright getting this start is it's against a minor league team

And even Freeman isn't really hitting. I could see Smith and Inciarte slapping singles and terrorizing the Reds this series though.

Welp, Wright, normally a control artist, walks the first batter, the speedy Mallex Smith. That ain't good.

Chris was about to say something and George just interrupted him and kept talking for like another minute straight lol.

Hit and run by the Braves works, first and third with no outs. This is going to be a long game folks.

Freeman RBI single. 1st and 3rd again, still no outs. Wright has already thrown 18 pitches.

Not looking great for young Daniel to get another start 5 days from now, if you can't handle the Braves...

DP ball from Markakis scores another run. 3-2 game.

To be fair, the pitch that Smith was running on was a tailor-made double play ball, which almost certainly was the goal there. Then another ground ball through the infield and then the DP.

Big Klu

I think he might have been thinking that the run would score if the ball entered the gap, especially with the runner moving on the pitch.

Bad luck is definitely a part of it, but Wright isn't a big time bat-misser so the onus is on him to get favorable results. Really the walk to Smith was unacceptable, no reason not to throw him strikes.

Freeman's hit wasn't a ground ball throw the infield, it was a liner into the outfield.

Tom Servo

I mean ideally he could have used some AAA seasoning, but he's 25 and threw 155 innings last year in AA. It's not like he's a 21 year old in A+ getting the call.

Perfect. Joey doubles on a popout and all we need is a base hit.

Big Klu

The Reds pick up their 10th save of the season, as Cingrani gets his 7th!

Cingrani (7)
Hoover (1)
Ohlendorf (1)
Ramirez (1)

Shows how worthless the save stat is. :D ;)

Ross, not Russ once again gets the win after giving up the tying run. Proof positive that the W-L record means nothing.

Btw, the board freezes for me whenever something big happens or it gets to the ninth inning. Am I the only one?

Awesome game, quite the roller coaster of good/bad baseball. I love games like that though, even two of the worst teams in the league can have an entertaining game.

Ohlendorf has to lead the league in vulture wins. Well, at least they are wins.

Duvall leads the league in HR's since May 1. Who saw that coming last winter?

Even more surprising is that Jay Bruce leads the league in triples. If you bet on that you are a rich person right now.

8 walks is bad baseball. Especially for pitchers who don't throw hard. We don't win that game without the 8 free passes from the Braves. I see why their record is worse than ours
