"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

I just realized that Colon is still pitching. Some of those other guys came up in the 80s!

I understood that one a little more, because both Griffeys had a lot of history with the Reds. But when referring to him by last name it was usually just "Griffey". Only rarely did they call him "Griffey Jr." Also, the name on the back of his jersey was just "Griffey".

Upton, on the other hand, has "Upton Jr." on the back of his jersey.

If Smith stays, he'll be the mop up man. Which is fine, I have no problem with it. He's been ok.

I think tonight will be it for Ramirez, when Wood comes back I expect JC to be sent out.

Then, the pen should be stable for awhile unless they decide to add Moscot or Peralta or somebody.
