From Jamie Ramsey's blog:
http://ramsey.mlblogs.com/2016/06/24...egame-rundown/

During pregame ceremonies tonight we will welcome members of the 1976 World Champion Cincinnati Reds.
• Introductions will take place from the Reds dugout & first base line area beginning at 6:40PM.
• All members of the Great Eight are on-hand for tonight’s introductions except for Joe Morgan, who is currently unable to travel. Joe has recorded a few messages for us to play to fans attending tonight’s game.
• Offering up a ceremonial first pitch on behalf of his ’76 teammates will be Reds Hall of Famer Jack Billingham, which will be caught by fellow Reds Hall of Famer David Concepcion.
• Saying a few words to the crowd on behalf of the team tonight will be 1976 World Series MVP, Johnny Bench.
• Reds Owner & CEO Bob Castellini will present the ’76 team with a Hall of Fame Reunion Plaque, which will also feature a photo opportunity with the team and the 1976 World Series trophy.
• As they exit the field tonight each honoree will receive a custom 1976 World Series Champion 40-year Reunion crystal ice bucket, which will be handed out by Mark & Rick Stowe in honor of their father, and 1976 Home Clubhouse Manager, Bernie Stowe.

Tonight is the 7th Fireworks Friday of the 2016 season, presented by Cooper Tires. The postgame fireworks show, featuring Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks set to a 1976 World Championship soundtrack, will begin approximately 10 minutes after the conclusion of tonight’s game.

All fans in attendance tonight will receive a 1976 Team Photo, courtesy of Coca-Cola. Gates to the ballpark are scheduled to open at 5:10PM for Season Ticket Members and 5:40PM for the general public. However those gate opening times could be adjusted in accordance with Cincinnati Fire Code, should the crowd size outside the gates dictate it so.

*Note that normal batting practice times for tonight has been moved up by 20 minutes in order to accommodate tonight’s pregame festivities. Additionally the National Anthem time has been moved up and is scheduled for 6:36PM.

The number style/font on the current players' throwback jerseys isn't quite right. (The throwbacks worn by the '76 players seem to be correct, though.)

He swung at a similar pitch last time with men on base.

Why send up a position player to pinch hit and bunt? I don't get that. Send up a pitcher. And make sure your pitchers have practiced bunting to death.

With a position player you have the option of switching off and swinging away.

My beef is that the Reds only have a four man bench, including the backup catcher.

So they used DeJesus and now they are down to three guys.

If I were the Reds GM in 2015, there is no way I would have retained Hoover.

He was 1-10 with a 4.88 ERA in 2014. He's not a prized prospect or on an expensive LTC. I would have simply moved on, I wouldn't risk the fans' unhappiness continuing to use a 1-10 pitcher.

If he succeeds elsewhere, fine, wish him the best. Hope he does, actually. I just wouldn't retain him here.

The fact that this guy is still pitching for the Reds IMO is beyond belief.

Just disappeared from relevance after he went to the Yankees.
