So, to the surprise of very few, the WADA has uncovered widespread doping amongst Russian athletes across most every sport, summer and winter alike. The IOC will hold a special meeting Tuesday to discuss these allegations.

WADA has recommended a complete ban on all Russians.

What say you RZ?

How am I supposed to care about the Olympics with no Russia? Who am I going to hate, China?

England? France? Kenya? Anywhere that's not 'merica?

I have a hard time caring about anything but the final medal count to be entirely honest.

Not gonna happen.

Ban everyone. The facilities aren't even built, the water is literally poison, and everyone is gonna be importing Zika back to their home countries.

This is probably the most disastrous pre-Olympic build up in my lifetime.

Never got them banned when they were doing it for decades as the Soviet Union.

I know the IOC is a joke, but if they don't totally ban Russia for these games, then they will be a meaningless and toothless joke.

It's not going to happen for the same reason the big programs in the NCAA don't get severe penalties for cheating. If this was Senegal or Bolivia or Denmark, they would be banned. There will be a strong condemnation of Russia but that will be it.

The IOC will not ban the entire Russian delegation. They will leave it up to the individual federations.

How's that for passing the buck?

Ok, the IOC is a total farce. They caved totally to Putin and took no responsibility or leadership in anti-doping. Total joke of an organization.

I'm guessing they want to be careful of Putin because he probably can always divulge who the bribes went to to get the Sochi games and they don't want to end up facing corruption charges like all the FIFA executives.

Seven Russian swimmers have been banned from competing by the swimming federation.

Speaking of Olympic cheating by the Russians, the 1972 leading scorer and rebounder for the USA team, who was ejected in the Gold Medal game for "an altercation" with a Russian, Dwight Jones, passed away on Monday. So, they first kick out our most dominant player and they still needed three attempts with no time left to get it done. Most people don't remember the ejection that even gave them a chance to get it close.

I don't remember that either. I don't think I have ever seen the entire game though. Just the last few minutes of teachery is all I have seen of that game.

Doug Collins, who was on that team, is being interviewed by Golf's Flaherty this week on The Golf Channel. I imagine it will come up.

Ban them for eternity.

They'll just hack into the IOC computers and get it overturned.

Russia’s Antidoping Agency Is Reinstated by WADA.

I'm sure everything will on the up and up from now on.

Hopefully the IOC tests creates a redundant system to check Russian athletes and verify the findings of the Russian agency.

I'm sure the Russians would vigorously protest that.
