No Bruce. So I would guess a trade is imminent. I sort of dread seeing what the Reds get for him. I'm sure I will be vastly disappointed.

Ironman92

Can Homer go beyond 5 inn? This is a good team to come back against.

Hate they used Raisel for 3 innings in a loss yesterday. That sucked. Also a punch in the face reminding us how bad the bullpen was in April and May

I think it's precautionary--in case somethin develops. I still feel the Reds are getting fodder for him and Jocketty, rightfully isn't going to give him away. At least I hope not. That, and Jay has been struggling with this whole trade thing. You could see it last night.

Never have seen where he gets a Juan Pierre rep. Increased his (modest) HR total each year, and at times has shows a compact swing that generates power to turn on a fastball.

He'll never be mistaken for a power hitter, but the meme of him as a "bat knocked out of hands" hitter is silly. He can hit a lot of singles and the doubles and triples will come as well with his speed, with the occasional straight fastball/hanger being hammered for a HR.

He looks like a guy who will hit 5-8 HR's a year, maybe muscling up now and then to 9-12 in a good year. Kind of how Dave Concepcion used to be.

Sorry not being sarcastic but seen you post this before and just sayin most of the talk I've seen this season has been pro Peraza. . Seems to me most Reds fans want him playing everyday, they hate seeing him waste away on the bench though so some would rather send him to Louisville where he'll get regular playing time.

The trade rumors should be swirling hot and heavy pretty soon. The Mets were already interested in Bruce. But they just lost their starting SS to an injury. I'm sorry but I can't find one excuse in the world for me to overlook something I've never seen in my 35 years of watching MLB.

There was a runner on 3rd....that's it. I can excuse him not holding on the runner earlier allowing him to 3rd for the run that shouldn't have happened. That happens, not greatly acceptable but it happens. He owned up for it to Barnhart. I admire that. He pitched with everything he had and as I said earlier in this thread it was refreshing. Homer did what I wanted this outing and excited that he's going to help them win some more games than they likely would've without him.

No way though am I ok with him doing that. If Votto goes 2 for 4 with a 3 run HR but catches a fly ball for the 2nd out and then tossed into the stands allowing a run....I'm going to comment and move on.

Now I'm moving on. Good showing by Homer, hope we can hold on. Go Reds!

FSO broadcast getting thoroughly depressing AF.

That's because THom, with his maudlin monologues droning on and on, just sucks all the air out of the room.

Lol....ump calls a terrible strike 2 on Billy then he hits a check swing tapper that goes by a charging SS/3B for a double

Jankowski just made a huge play to rob Cozart and a run

No but as I watch them blow game after game late in the game while seeing the ad for "Ollie's Bargain Outlet"....not great pride for that I guess

Hey, I love Ollies! They have great deals on Keurig pods and sliced orange candy!

Okay, I've only been in the store twice. But still. . . .

I know Thom doesn't play any role in winning and losing but his sucking the life out of my word dribbles and just coming back in general....if they blow this game I will 100% blame his return and despise his continuing.

5th straight series win since the AS break. I don't expect that every three games, especially if Bruce is traded and they pitch the youngsters more, but that's a start. Then, when I look at the schedule I shudder. Anyway, good game and it's good to have Homer back.

I'm just glad I had the option of viewing the Padre network instead of having to listen to Thom's nonsense. Much more pleasant to listen to and everything isn't the end of the world to them. I doubt I will listen to anymore of the Reds broadcast this year. I'll either watch the other teams or just turn the sound down.

Nice series to view as just a baseball fan. Fairly well played by two bad teams. All close games that were fun to view. Reds playing much better. Five straight series wins. I'm afraid its all going to back to bad with the impending Bruce trade and playing better teams for a while now.
