I like this lineup v the lefty.
Amazing that the Reds went 4-0 without their top hr and rbi guy in Duvall. Just goes to show that baseball is 75% pitching and 25% hitting and the Reds pitching from starters to bullpen has been great yes great since the ASB.
LA sits Utley, Reddick, Grandel, Seager.
Thats alot of pop out of the LA lineup.

Browning's long rain delay was before the game started. I was at a high school football game that night, and as I got into the car after the game was over I turned on the radio and the Reds game was just starting (as in the very first pitch), nearly three hours late.

For me, I'm not even thinking about the Wild Card. It would be a miracle to even get close to that. My only concern is to see the team improving and playing solid fundamental baseball. And in the second half...they're doing just that. Contributions up and down the roster, not giving up in a game, putting forth a solid effort day-in/day-out. Just build that confidence in the young'uns and see what we can do next season.

Think about this....if Disco, Bailey and Straily all win their next starts at home the Reds would be 24-12 in 2nd half and riding an 8 gm win streak into the last gm of the hs v Texas.
If that happens and we get more help...
This team would still be alive...on life support mind you, but they would still have a pulse.
