No Reds TV today. It is only on the Dodgers network. Sadly, no Vin Scully from them.

Cozart still out with achilles soreness. Can't take any chance with that. Good opportunity for Peraza to show what he can do.

Hershiser is an idiot, or at least he was when he was a broadcaster for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball. I remember when he told the audience that "a curveball breaks because gravity pulls on it more than on a fastball." Evidently Orel skipped Physics 101 at good ol' BGSU.

Smith has been a decent long man this year. He was clearly gassed in this second inning, and probably should have been taken out earlier. But it happened so fast, it would have been hard to warm someone up in time.

I agree. Smith has been pretty good long man, just like Villareal was last year all things considered. Just one of those games that blows up your ERA nad makes you look like the worst.

The 14 games the Reds have allowed double digit runs scored have accounted for 27% of the runs they have surrendered this year

Can you imagine if they had scored these yesterday then lost 18-0 today? I would have taken that.

On pace for 69-93.

I had 'em pegged for about 90 losses this yr. Looks like they're headed for about 72-90
