Angels look a lot better than their record.

Hitting against Reds pitching will do that.

I'm calling for a big break-through here in the next inning or so versus Weaver. Takes a time through the order to get used to all this soft-tossing junk. They'll zero in on him soon.

Jose Havoc with a pair of knocks and a stolen base (also a caught stealing).

Reds being shut out through 5 though by a guy who might be out of the league next year.

Didn't that previous Angels reliever have a two-toned glove, and didn't another pitcher have to change gloves?

On a side note, I see that Cueto had a rough time of it. 36 pitches in a 4 run 5th innings before he was pulled. I read that he had a 3-2 pitch called a ball that was actually a strike before it all fell apart.

Foul ball by millimeters. Brutal. Angels score on completely crap swing by Simmons and Reds do not on a great cut by Hamilton. Unlucky night for the good guys.

Terrific AB by Hamilton. Growth as a hitter this year. Works 0-2 count to 3-2 with several foul-offs and a good eye.

What gets me is why Price is hitting him 2nd still? I thought SS bats 2nd but not Peraza who is clearly a better option there now. Just for speed alone and contact skills.

Why they fixate on Cozart as a 2nd place hitter is disturbing. They hung him two breaking balls......and he looked lost. Why Price has kept Cozart there while Suarez heated up in this 2nd half
or anytime Peraza is playing is a small thing but just very annoying.

Agree. They had a better look in the early to mid to late 90's as well. Well that ended though when Disney bought them and the uniforms have become below average since then.
