I don't have a problem with that, though I think I would prefer Geno batting 2nd, and Selsky batting 7th.

One out walk to Josh Bell, Andrew McCutchen RBI double to make it 1-0 Pirates.

After two hitters - starting might not have the best idea

Polanco 2 run HR. 3-0 Pirates after four batters. Not the start RobSteve was looking for.

This is what happens when you have zero command of any pitch.

Yeah and I'm not sure why anyone was counting on a magical fix to end the season given Stephenson's AAA struggles. He still needs a lot of work.
Stephenson's fastball is quite good, he threw a number of them to the second batter who fouled them off. They all seemed to be strikes.
Sometimes it does move outside to the left handed hitter, but it's a good pitch.
The walk, double and homer were all on off speed pitches.
I wish he would stick with the fastball early and throw the secondary pitch less often. He has a good moving fastball and, with some exceptions, can control it pretty well.
Too much messing around with secondary stuff that inning IMO. Early in the game, just throw your best pitch with very limited exception.

Votto single, Duvall double, DatDude single all with two outs to make it 3-1.
Stephenson with a clean inning facing bottom of order in the second.
He threw the curve ball, first time I think, to the pitcher for a strike. Seemed like a nice pitch and got it over.

Duvall did not score

3-3 ballgame on Cabrera homer.
2 Ks for Stevenson in the third, then walks Cutch, then a line out.

I just can't take George Grande. Did not realize Harrison was a first ballot hall of famer. Ughhh! I even miss Thom when they break out George.
Can't wait for Hogan's Heroes to roll around at 10:00>
Nice inning for BobSteve in the fourth, although he walked the leadoff hitter on a 3-2 pitch. Stephenson has very good stuff, although he doesn't seem to have good control of the off-speed stuff tonight. Fastball and curve look quite good.
Stephenson almost gets out of bases loaded situation, hits the guy pitch wasn't that bad. 4-3 Pirates.

Marty can't keep track of the score.
Reds lead 6-4 on a bullet triple by Schebler. Nobody else seems to be here, so I'm done posting, but it's an entertaining game.
Sorry Cy, didn't see your post. You and me, but I'm done for the night. Go Reds.

Marty can't keep track of the score.
Marty checked out mid August, his interest in the Reds is about as low as the band wagon fans who show up on RZ to declare we all are fooled by sabermetics
He has the chops, he only serves them up at the moment he wants. Meanwhile we all eat bad cuts in the other moments

Don't really get Blake Wood hate. He's had some disaster outings, but overall behind Iglesias and Lorenzen he is the only Reds reliever who can justify belonging in an MLB bullpen. The rest are total chaff.

Doom, despair, and agony on me. Buccos lead 7-6 as Cingrani is an epic fail. Bases loaded no one out. Have mercy

Screw you Cingrani...how about you take a little longer to throw it. SMH allow a bunt hit in a bunting situation by a catcher? To compound it Phillips covering first was there but didn't stretch towards the ball.
Safe but shouldn't have been. Cingrani is my least favorite Reds pitcher.

Of the 7 HRs he has allowed this year, 6 have come since the beginning of August, so that's his problem.

Cingrani needs to be parted with. You would think he could be an Arthur Rhodes, but he can't throw strikes. He's no closer. He's actually not a major league pitcher. 2013 was fools gold.

Could never say that with Losendorff on the team. But I will probably never forgive Cingrani for that St Louis debacle. And he hasn't done much since then.

He's your classic case of 'needs a change of scenery". I suggest we deal him this winter for another team's change of scenery guy. Every team has 'em.
