Is Irrabarren making a case for a bench spot next season? I know nothing about him pre-'16....has he always hit?

Not especially, hit just .256/.324/.305 last year in about the same number of ABs as this year as he benefitted from a really, really high BABIP in 2016.

He's a good story, but I'm not expecting much moving forward. I don't see him as being especially better than Ivan De Jesus and Kris Negron. He should have to compete in 2017 for a job like everyone else.

Yeah, guys like Irrabarren and Selsky are the type you keep in AAA for emergency call-ups.

Any word on why Votto was walking backwards to the dugout after his last AB? Looked like someone on that side of the field for the Cubs said something he didn't like at all

Votto got a foul ball and tossed it to a hot girl in the stands. I fear he's lost his focus.

* Mentions the Diamonbacks
* Mentions old women in stands

Exactly he had to mention them always will.

He also mentioned retired hockey player Chris Druery as a mistake for Brandon. Quite surprised Thom knew a hockey players name... but then remembered the Little League WS story snd well... So Thom to know that.

Price leaves the starter in too long (again). But with Wood warming, who wouldn't?

The 2016 Cincinnati Reds pitching staff has now allowed the most HR's in a season in MLB history.

Tom Servo

Missed most of this one. Nice effort by Peraza and Votto and the HR from BP. Good outing from Adleman who, realistically, shouldn't be pitching in the 7th inning of any game. But he should make either good AAA depth next year or possibly bring back a little something from a team desperate for pitching.

WVRedsFan
09-19-2016, 10:56 PM
So glad Adleman didn't get the loss. He pitched well until left in too long. Blake Wood has proven that he has no place in this bullpen. Last week.4 IP, 6H, 5 R, 5 ER, big ERA, 0-2.

Wth 12 games left against the Brewers, Cubs, and Cardinals, I look for a 4-8 record and a final record of 67-95. Bryan Price's 3 year record is now 203-271. That would give him a final record of 207-279 or an average of 69-93. Unacceptable.
