Btw what an awkward spot the Mets are in tonight....they need to be high energy and excited for this wildcard run but how could you be at this point?

That's at least twice now I can recall Peraza stealing a base but being called out for being off the bag for a second while popping up.

HR #27 for Votto though, making that late push for 30

Peraza got greedy; cost the Reds a run.

It makes me wonder how many times Joe Morgan and Eric Davis would have been called out.

Chris Welsh just mentioned exit velocity while talking about Scott Schebler.

Good thing Thom isn't on tonight, he might have slugged him.

He did preface it with "If you're one of those people who analyze statistics...." But it is certainly a start.

BTW, Adelman's last start the fly balls kept getting deeper and deeper until they went out of the park. That fly to Schebler doesn't bode well.

9-0 Reds on 14 hits through 3 2/3*

I can still remember that crazy September that Alex Ochoa had in 2000 after The Reds traded Dante Bichette.

I thought The Reds had stumbled upon a superstar.

Having the Reds be the reason they knock the Cardinals out of the WC spot would be a great way to end the year. I wish the Mets and Giants would get their heads together and win. The Giants have completed melted down like the used to do in the 70's with their June swoons.

I like Selsky for the bench too but he is not looking better than Schebler other than he is having a great night. I just wish they would carry 12 pitchers next year and use relievers to go multiple innings rather than have a terrible 13th pitcher.

Holy Moly! What a butt whoopin'! Duvall and Selsky had great nights. Duvall has been just been so much better than I ever expected this season. Let's hope he continue this in 2017 and beyond. Maybe we have something in Selsky? You never know.
Also not forget Phillips with a four hit night. He's been just fine overall this season.
