Reed. Because it's all about him and how he looks.

Peraza
Cozart
Votto
Raburn
Jennings
Winker
Alcantara
Barnhart
Reed

Calhoun/Trout/Cron in the Angels line-up, so Reed will be facing a representative batting order for the Halos.

Apparently a web gem from Peraza (playing 2b) to get a force on Trout at second base.

Peraza does his best DatDude impression with a behind the back glove flip to the SS.

Reed K's Valbeuna to end the inning.

1 P, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K

K to finish the inning, for Reed. Not sure how it looked to SeaRay, but it sounded good from Marty and Brantley.

Reed K's Valbeuna to end the inning.

1 P, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K

Considering the walk was issued to Trout, a nice first inning for Reed.

Espinosa grounds out to open the second.

Marte lines out to SS. Two down.

Strong 3rd for Reed - leadoff walk, but then a double play ball off the bat of Calhoun and he Ks Trout.

3 IP 0 R 3Ks 2 BB 1 hit.

Reed walks Fontana to open the third but quickly erases him on a Kole Calhoun double play and then K's Mike Trout.

3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K

In all seriousness, it's hard to think that Reed is not in the rotation to start the year. I would think Feldman/Finnegan/Reed and then two more to be decided/announced.

Agreed. Reed should be a lock, IMO.

And a good 4th from Reed.

Through 4 he is 0 R, 1 H, 4 Ks and 2 BBs.

Waiting for my ride, clean 5th for Reed, three up and three down. Rest of line score remains the same.

Reed with grounder to 1st & K to start #6 & Reed exits now at 83 very good pitches

And he leaves bc of pitch count with two out in the sixth. Well, that was acceptable.

I still think Reed's the class of the bunch.

Mitchell K's Trout to end 6th -- walks some jamoke to start the 7th & then gets a DP to erase him before giving up a solid single to center....

Red Raindog

walks the next guy --- -- Peraza (sorry -- Renda) then goes Chuck Knoblach & throws away an easy out

Red Raindog

and not it's bad little league baseball --- double steal -- Tucker doesn't check runner at 3rd -- throws to 2nd --- in rundown with runner scoring -- Chad Wallach drops the throw at 1b then

Red Raindog

Mitchell now gives up a gapper double -- looking at his minor league numbers I don't see the reason for the excitement about Mitchell --

another hit - another run --- not all his fault but walking guys will burn you

Considering the walk was issued to Trout, a nice first inning for Reed.

Glad you asked. It looked superb to me. He was smooth, got into a rhythm and was pitching at the knees and lower. I might even opine that the ump had a low strike zone. He was giving the low and the outside edges and not so much the high or the inside corners but to Cody's credit he took advantage to perfection. He had good pop and changed speeds well. I don't know how many change ups he threw but his command was excellent and he rarely threw one in the heart of the plate. It'd be a huge shot in the arm for this team if he could throw like that in even half his starts this year.

I thought it bordered on obnoxious. Apparently Long wasn't too pleased either. It was like a little kid who doesn't know when to stop. He needs to grow up
