Reds vs. Cubs is televised via Chicago broadcast, no TV for Reds vs. A's. Stephenson against the Cubs, Garrett against the A's.

Walk to Schwarber, double by Bryant. Not a good beginning for RobSteve.
Groundout to first bring in a run.
Tapper back to Stephenson for out two, and then another walk.
Single makes it 2-0.
Another single loads up the bases. This is tough to watch.

Looks like Arroyo has a spot locked up.

Austin Orewiler warming up in the pen. Swinging bunt ends the pain, and possibly RobSteve's hopes of making the Reds.

Who cares about wins and losses in spring training. Price needs to give Stephenson a few innings to see if he can bounce back.

Technically Riggleman is managing this game. Rob just batted for himself and singled, so looks like he's staying in, I think the pitcher warming was in case that inning got out of hand.

Reds loaded up the bases with two out against Hendricks but Alcantara fouled out to the catcher.
In the Oakland game, Garrett allowed a run on a pair of singles in the first.

Stephenson goes full on Schwarber and blows him away on a fastball. More of that.
Scoreless 2nd for RobSteve.

Reds offense dropped a half dozen on the A's in the 2nd, Peraza had a two run single, Raburn had a two run single, and Schebler and Cozart drew bases loaded walks.

Streaming the Reds v Cubs thing, man these announcers just can't stop praising Votto. Only wish our own broadcasters could follow suit.

Stephenson looking good and from what I've seen the contact off the curve is weak and not hurting him.

The first inning always seems to trouble Stephenson the most.

RobSteve gives up a HR to some jamoke to make it 3-2 Cubs to start the 5th.
Full count again to Schwarber, Schwarber with a hard single.
That's it for him, Barrett Astin coming in.
Astin gave up a 2 run HR to Bryant, bleh.

All in all, I thought Stephenson looked pretty good. Rocky first, but after that he was sharp. Homer by Young was wind-blown.
I hope they bring him north either in the rotation or as a long guy who can replace Arroyo/Feldman if/when that becomes necessary. The stuff is there, and at some point you just have to let the guy take a regular turn, take some lumps and see if he can figure it out. He's put in the AAA time.
