Arroyo will be an automatic loss every time he is out there. I don't blame him though, I blame Homer Bailey for taking all the money and always being hurt. If the Reds could get rid of Bailey they can have some money for some real pitchers that are good and aren't hurt all the time.

Well, that's what I meant. Reds don't want the bullpen to throw another 6 innings after having to do it multiple times this past week already. Sometimes a loss is better in the long run than a win.

This Arroyo thing - I don't see the point of it right now. There's no longer a desperate need for a stop gap. There's Romano, Reed, perhaps soon Stephenson.

I understand their argument for available stop gaps before the season. But if you ask Williams/Price why Arroyo is in the rotation not sure there's a good answer at this point.

I have to think with Rookie on the DL if, big if, Bronson gets another start I have to think Reed is not far behind picking up that spot in the rotation. Feldman, Finnegan, Amir, Cody, and Romano. A lot of future there for whatever period of time we get them in the rotation. If you are only going to get a few poor innings out of Bronson I would rather see that out of a young guy.

Bronson is this years Alfredo Simon. We really don't need him trying to show the young pitchers how to lose.

But there was a reason for a Simon, even a Marquis.

Last year, Simon didn't perform, but we all understood the need. People applauded the pickup to aid a horrendous staff with an experienced starter.

This is different. If Arroyo continues this way, it's slowing down the rebuild and resulting in unwanted losses in a better season.
