Yeah man. What happened after the first game? Beat up on there best starter and now they can't do anything. Weak grounder after grounder. Early yet but we may be out of this one before we can put anything together.

BluegrassRedleg

That would be 16 consecutive scoreless innings against mediocre at best pitching. [emoji52]

I'm more of a fan of the ornithologically correct Oriole rather than the cartoon one on the O's ballcap.

Boo. Awful. O's fans hate it. Cartoon bird is revered.

Saw an oriole outside my house earlier. Tried to hit it but missed.

Yep knew the Reds would find a way to lose. Only gave up one run in nine innings and lost the game, congrats! Takes a special kind of suck to pull that off.

Actually, it's 1 run in 23 innings. Reds didn't score in their last five times up on Tuesday.

I've sat through 18 of them and soon will need a wake up call. As does the Reds' offense.

Offense has been brutal no doubt but Miley isn't quite bum level. Lefty who can throw up to 95 and hit his spots all night. Ump didn't help us but he came in with a 2.57 era. He's pretty much a lefty Feldman with a bit more upside.

Yea but a loss is still a loss. This series is pretty hard to swallow considering the defending World Champion (puke) Cubs are coming into town with Lackey Lester and Arrieta going.

Price needs to shake things up on offense. Switch up the lineup or something. Hamilton and Peraza are setting a tone of hacking away. Let someone with a better approach bat higher up. Cozart and Suarez would be my choices.

I missed tonight's game (again!), as the Reds were preempted by the Blue Jackets, and the alternate feed had the Cavaliers. (Big surprise. I should be getting used to this by now. That's seven or eight games that have been bumped from TV by the Cavs or Jackets so far this season.) The local Reds radio affiliate was also carrying the Blue Jackets instead, and I couldn't pick up WLW due to interference and a thunderstorm. Sounds like I didn't miss much.

Anyway, here's the update:

Updated Reds HR list (players in italics are active):

Reds 100-Home Run Club
1. Johnny Bench - 389
2. Frank Robinson - 324
3. Tony Perez - 287
4. Adam Dunn - 270
5. Ted Kluszewski - 251
6. George Foster - 244

10. Eric Davis - 203
11. Barry Larkin - 198
12. Brandon Phillips - 191
13. Vada Pinson - 186
14. Wally Post - 172
15. Gus Bell - 160
16. Joe Morgan - 152
16. Pete Rose - 152

The first couple weeks this team was loads of fun to watch. Now not so much. Seeing them get a couple singles every 9 innings isn't my idea of how to spend 3 hrs. As for comparison to last year, let's see how the weekend goes.

Much rather see a tight 2-1 loss than a walkfest, homer laden 10-9 loss. Pitching is encouraging so far this season. We just have to wait and see how long it last. Hitting always has its ups and downs. I think the Reds will be a good hitting team. They are just going through rough patch right now.
