Marv Albert's brother Al was the backup goalie on the Ohio University hockey team. (Which was cool, since Marv was doing PBP for the New York Rangers.) Al, who was a TCOM major at OU, also did play-by-play for Bobcats hockey on WOUB (while in uniform). Once, the regular goalie had to be taken out (either an injury or a penalty), and Al had to abruptly end his PBP and go into the game.

Peraza is a bad ball hitter. Hits a lot of pitcher's pitches with authority. That's a valuable skill to have from one of the players in your lineup. Frazier was kinda the same way here. The epitome is Kung Fu Panda, though.

I think, generally, Peraza is a very fine striker of the baseball. And fortunately he doesn't pop the ball up very much. So most of his batted balls have a chance.
