I am hoping for a split but expect the Yankees to demoralize rookie Davis. Guy barely seems ready for this level nevertheless against the best franchise in MLB. I hope the Reds win but they are going to need to score a bunch of runs.

I am a UK fan too, best program in college basketball, this must what it feels like for opposing fan bases when their team goes up against Kentucky in basketball. Yankees best in MLB, UK best in college basketball

Yanks are by far the best if championships are what matters. UCLA would make the same argument in basketball.

It's not really the velocity that's an issue IMO. It's his lack of hitting his spots combined with a pretty flat fastball. No deception, straight pitch and fantastic velocity still gets decimated in the majors. Very vanilla.

Hitting into a DP is not really controllable. He had a long at bat and unfortunately hit the ball to a terrible spot. Peraza took a horrible off balance swing on a first pitch with the bases loaded and no outs. He might as well have just conceded his at bat. No comparison there.

3. Threw a no hitter when he was 39, and then threw another one at age 40.
4. "[Spahn] will never get into the Hall of Fame. He won't stop pitching."- Musial
5. Won 20 games 13 times. Between 1953 and 1961 there was only one year when he didn't win 20 games.
