Can't tell what is up with Adleman, the video didn't show anything especially and the announcers speculate it's his neck. He had that oblique issue last year that cost him time. He's staying in for now.

That's the ole ball game. Losing marathon games especially on a walk off always seems to send teams into a tail spin. Not surprised at all.

If Reds cant get a few pitchers back soon the way the Cardinals are going we will be done by mid June.

This is RED-diculous.

Most of our guys pitch scared and it's because they know their stuff is average at best.

I wouldn't put too much on this series. Most teams, as they develop, have trouble on the road. The first sign of success is to win at home.

I don't expect the Reds to remain a .500 or better road team. My hope for this year is they have a good home record and keep it within reason on the road.

I'm not expecting much from Bailey. He's missed a lot of time. It will be good to see him on the mound, but I doubt he'll be double no-hit Homer for quite awhile. And it seems like Disco hasn't even begun throwing yet.

The Reds are going to have to piece together a passable rotation, boosted by a good bullpen and defense. I think they have a shot at it, although I'm not predicting a winning overall record.

And the Giants have some pretty good starting pitchers in Cueto, Moore, and Samardzija even if the latter two have struggled. The inability to score off the Giants horrible bullpen in the Friday marathon game was their real sin.

Reds drop their third straight, could use that off day tomorrow.

Hamilton, Votto, and Peraza all had a pair of hits, Votto with a double and Peraza with a triple. No walks allowed by the Giants today. Barrett Astin and Austin Brice (not the same person) did their job to munch a combined 5 innings after Adleman's injury.

Do we know if clutch even exists?

Clutch exists. Clutch performances exists. Repeating the ability to be "clutch" isn't a skillset we have been able to show in statistics. Good players tend to be good in the clutch once the sample is actually a decent size. Bad players tend to be bad once the sample is actually a decent size.
