Damn second game in a row I turned off in the second inning, Sunday and tonight, didn't watch last night at all since I had to be up at four. If the Reds front office wonder why the stadium is half empty on the weekends and nearly empty during the week this is why. Nobody wants to watch them not compete.

You watch Peraza play defense, and it gives credence to the reputation that even though he does not make a lot of errors, he just does not make the plays you need from a middle infielder. if you are going to be a winning team. We saw this in the series in San Francisco when he was trying to play shortstop. And again tonight. He is going to have to hit quite a bit to provide value at second. Shortstop is another matter. Hands just are not that good on the tougher plays.

I don't know how the crews in NY are staffed, but they likely still had more games to be ready for than ours. That said, I'm not sure the reversal met the standard for overturning a call.

I saw it on replay this morning. That wasn't conclusive enough to over rule. One view looked like he was on the bag and another looked like he was off. I would think that fits the definition of inconclusive. I think the replay boys needed one less game to look at so they ended it.
