I don't know. Are you sure he's still on the juice? Because when he was on the juice in Toronto, he was excellent. In Cincy pre-juice days? Not so much.

Just hard to tell when the obvious roid users are taking a year off to be safe after signing a $60M guaranteed contract. No need to risk anything right now. Last night was the aberration for EE's current season. He's been very bad. I'm guessing he's off the juice this year.

I just hate giving away outs. You only get 27 of them to work with.

Think of outs as the game clock. You get three ticks of the clock each inning, and twenty-seven ticks for the whole game. If you're a football team or a basketball team and you need to score, do you allow time to tick off on the game clock? In rare events, you might. Two on and nobody out with your leadoff hitter up isn't one of those rare events.

I remember that 1999 tornado. It was awful.

I've had a pretty close encounter with a tornado, albeit a small one. A little EF0 tornado ripped through Carlisle one day. My dad and I were trying to open the doors to his truck and we couldn't get them open. My dad said "Whoa that's a tornado!" And I remember thinking "oh okay, sure..." before turning around and seeing it go right by, and then my thought was "holy crap that IS a tornado."

We watched it blow up a transformer at a nearby apartment building and then I frantically called my mom to tell her and my grandma to get to the basement.

Thankfully it was the smallest tornado on the scale and I don't think there were any injuries. Definitely the craziest things I've ever seen though.

And there was absolutely NO warning. The radar never picked it up and there were no sirens. On the weather stations that night they actually were able to find it but they had to use the Wright Bros' airport radar to pick it up because the cell was so low in the atmosphere and the weather guys never saw it.

Radars have been upgraded tremendously, in part to account for things like this. It's why things have gone from "we didn't see that one" to "we've picked up some rotation on radar and are issuing a warning."
