It's not uncommon to hold the number of a long-time player out of circulation for a year after he leaves, Scooter did not request the number, and other numbers were available (most notably #12, which hasn't been issued since 2013).

Even worse Adelman has already allowed 2 hits and were only in the 5th. Unacceptable!! Some just sit here and do no complaining about it... I am a fan who demands no hit baseball from the Reds pitchers. At least one or two a week. Anything less Unacceptable.
