Reds go for the sweep tonight. Bailey hoping to improve upon a 42.30 ERA. And Schebler is rewarded with a day off after making that great catch last night.

Thames out for Milwaukee as well and they only have two lefty bats in the lineup.
Nelson is a nothing special righty so If Bailey can pitch 6 inns of 3 runs or less the Reds should prevail and cut it to 5.5 and possible only 4 back in loss column if Nats beat the Cubbies again which they currently are in the 8th 4-2.

I understand and support rebuilding, I thought Reds would lose 90 this year, I'm not shocked.

But man, this team really has some horrid pitching. Last year too. I mean, if you try to watch these games simply as a fan, just looking for competitive baseball, it's almost impossible. So many of them over in the fourth inning. Homers allowed in bunches.

It's almost laughable. Whatever you think of their announcers, I feel for them, trying to fill air for 3 1/2 hours with the Reds hopelessly behind much of the time.

I hope the Reds try and change things for next year because this is just terrible.

"I'm going to a Reds game this summer, but only when a Major League pitcher is pitching."--overheard at Hardee's this morning. Anonymous wise guy said, "Good luck"

Ariel Hernandez is fun to watch. I assume he is done for the night and it looks like Votto is out so I am calling it a game.

Tonight's Joe Nuxhall Star of the Game is Joey Votto, who was 2-for-2 with a pair of solo HR's and a BB, and tied George Foster for sixth place on the Reds all-time home run list.

Watching this game is like seeing a 300 pound middle-aged gal in Wal Mart who's wearing a tube top and spandex shorts. You want to look away...you know you should...but...you...just...can't.

Can she pitch?

What an absolute travesty is Joey Votto doesn't make it to the all star game. 5th in voting behind a guys who's been injured for 2 months and Rizzo who, despite being a very good player, isn't Joey Votto.

Rizzo does have the World series bounce and the media love in though.
