I am curious whether the catcher contacted Cozart over the plate or in the batters box. I wonder if that's something that's reviewable. (not that it matters now -- bad break for the Reds)

I don't think contact is necessary. If, in the umpire's opinion, the batter was out of the batter's box and caused the catcher to alter his throw, then interference may be called.

Did not like his approach at all once he got to 3-1. You gotta have 1 more base runner for ANY chance to win. No clue his thoughts on that borderline 3-1 pitch.

I was hoping that Tucker could find a way to get on base, because I really had a good feeling that Scooter matched up well against Rodney. One of the main problems with this team is the mindset that Peraza and Tucker are the future, thus, Scooter is just the random guy that doesn't need to play everyday. It's the general mindset that we are developing a team and winning is not important. The mindset comes from the top regardless of the pain from the fans. I imagine, high level meetings have been had reinforcing this to Bryan Price and he is the kind of guy who follows orders, which management likes. Just a theory, but pretty obvious to me. That's why I have stayed pretty quiet this year. It's obvious what is happening. Don't try to get help for the starting pitching because this season doesn't matter. So we trot out guys like Adleman and others out there. We can spend millions on a prospect who's 17 years old because he is "the future," but today doesn't matter. Burns me up. And yet the fans were in a holy panic over a kid because he was ranked the number two prospect, or should I say "suspect." Rant over, but drives me nuts. I won't live to see another contender, and that's okay. Neither did my father, but that's okay.

Tucker is the future? Wut?

Meaoraco was supposed to be the present and future but he can't stay on the field. Tucker was supposed to be his backup.

I'm done for the night. If Price doesn't care, why should I?

Because it's his job to care, we care because we love the team and will still do so long after Bryan Price leaves the Reds.

How Tucker got into that may have been the alcohol. Peraza may be fine in time, but he's not hitting like last year's second half, which just might have been an aberration. Play Scooter while he's hot.

Hi folks, was at the game last night. What an absolute snoozer. Greinke was dominant. Adleman, not so much. Was hoping to see Hernandez live, but instead got Wood for two innings out of the pen. Even when the good guys made it interesting in the top of the 9th, Lovullo didn't even bring in JJ Hoover :(

Schebler was locked in, his outs were loud and you just had a feeling after his laser line drive that he'd be ready in the 9th. Peraza did not have the best night. These two right now are trending in opposite directions.
