Mesoraco activated from DL, Bonilla back down.

Joel Luckhaupt‏ @jluckhaupt 5h5 hours ago

Joey Votto is 1-for-14 in the 2nd half. Not being in the HR Derby ruined him!

Joel Luckhaupt‏ @jluckhaupt 3h3 hours ago

Most runs #Reds have given up during a 10-game home stand is 69 (June, 1995). Most HR is 19 (June, 1999). At 46 & 15 halfway thru this one.

Joel Luckhaupt‏ @jluckhaupt 2h2 hours ago

The most HR the #Reds have ever allowed in any home stand is 32. That was a 17-game stand in 1954. Sadly, it's in range.

1) It is against the Reds' DNA to sign big-contract free agents.

2) Jake Arrieta actively dislikes the city of Cincinnati, and would not sign here unless he had no other options available.

We might score one more run on Grienke. Can't see Adleman holding them to under three. If the reds are down by just a run or two when Grienke exits they might have a chance at the end. However I think this will be another blow out loss.

Praying the Reds trade their best pitcher who just hit 101 mph and has multiple more years of control?

Huh, ok.
The emoji is hoping that it means something good, not that they necessarily move Iglesias.

But I am in favor of selling high. I learned my lesson from 2015 with Chapman on "Oh, it doesn't have to be now, we can just wait until the offseason."

Pointless for this club to have a closer the next two years. This is Aroldis Lite situation. Either start him or deal him for some elite prospects.

He's isn't a FA until like 2022 and I disagree about the next 2 years.

I know all of that (it's also either 2020 or 2021 depending on an unclear arb clause). He could also tear his UCL tomorrow. Not saying he NEEDS to be moved, but now is a great time to pull the trigger. The longer the control, the higher the return.

This is a bit different than Chapman, though, because Iglesias is under team control through 2020. Reds can trade him but have to get a huge haul.

I did not know that. never saw it because I despise Crystal but I'm a huge mark for DeVito so i should check it out.

Danny DeVito plays a middle-aged guy who still lives with his overbearing mother (Anne Ramsey). After watching Strangers On A Train, he gets the idea to kill Billy Crystal's ex-wife (Kate Mulgrew), and tells Crystal that he has to kill Momma in return. Hilarity ensues.

When a game is tied going to bottom 8, the home team usuaslly has a big advantage.

In a tie game at that point, the home team has six outs left in regulation, the road team has three outs remaining.

Reds should win this. Should (rather than "will") being the operative word.

I am a huuuuuge Senzel fan but I think it's premature to say he is ready right now. He's like 25 games into AA. There is absolutely no need to rush him.

Not right now (although I'm inclined to agree if you brought him up right now he could handle it), I would be trying to trade them in the offseason.
