Reed Pitching. Gives up opening ground ball single and then gets the rest 1-2-3 (2-3-4?)

KInd of interesting to me that both Ervin and Schebler playing today but it's Schebler that gets CF.

Reed sets then down in order in second. So far so good. 0 walks.....

Weird inning so far. Like to have seen this. First guy singles and then is thrown out at 2nd. Next guy doubles and is thrown out at 3rd. Third guy singles and decides not to stretch it. Nextx guy grounds out.

So no runs on 3 hits for Reed. Again...zero walks.

Blandino, Reed and Winker go in order.

Two homers allowed by Reed in the fourth, both on 0-2 pitches. Allowed two runs in four innings.

Probably that’s all for him today.

Cody pitched well his last time out, I think he’s got a good shot at going north with the Reds.

Price said Cody was trying out for a bullpen role, I’ll guess that’s where Cody goes initially.

Just like with Stephenson, I can't help but wonder if walks and home runs are going to be inversely proportional to Reed.

(It's too early for anything definitive but I'm watching)

He did have some solid seasons in San Diego in 2014 and 2015, perhaps he's made a mechanical adjustment or found another fastball tick or two to help him get back to that level.

Per Gameday, the first batter singled and was out trying to stretch 2B Blandino to C Mesoraco.

That didn't make much sense to me. If I was guessing he made a move to second and was thrown out at 1b with Mez cover,

Mezz singles, ErvIn K's (not a good game), Dixon singles, Gosselin singles, pinch hitter for Winker......Revere hits into DP. Nice strategy.

Blandino lost the ball in the sun. Runner thought he could take 2nd. As the runner scampered back to 1st, Blandino threw the ball to Mesoraco who was covering first, and tagged the runner out.
