They are committed to the OF rotation for now.

Good idea to hit Schebler lead off today and use Duvall. Reds must get the HR bats going, at least an occasional long ball, and coming home to GABP this is the time.

Also, the first 4 starts for Foltynewicz this year:

5 hits, 3 ER
4 hits, 1 ER
5 hits, 3 ER
4 hits, 1 ER

weird, but let's hope this pattern holds for tonight's game.

A lot of optimism, I think it’s coming from the fact that the Braves have been down the last few years and the Reds are playing someone out of their division. However people are missing the fact that the Braves are pretty decent this year, and appear to have a strong offense.
Reds get swept.

On the bright side, Hunter Green pitched two thirds of an inning giving up a grand slam on 4 hits and 3 walks for 7 earned runs.

*touches ear piece*

I’m being told this is bad. If I was making the picks for a team, I don't think I would ever pick a high school player. Takes too long to develop, or fail in developing.
College players at least have had more seasoning.

Reds offense is destroying this season. We all knew the pitching was inexperienced, no real surprise. Injuries hurt pitching staff.

But every error, every GABP homer against you is magnified when you can’t score runs.

Hard to explain, nobody is generating power, terrible.

I don’t think the lack of power is hard to explain. Votto is being pitched around but he’s also choked up on the bat and looks like he’s holding a putter. Then you have guys like Duvall and Gennet who are trash, picked up off the scrap heap and coming back to earth after good years. Winker, well I hope you weren’t expecting any pop from him or especially Hamilton or Peraza. Suarez and Schebler have been hurt, while Pennington and Gosselin should be in the independent league. Barnhart looks overmatched as much as he looks decent. Idk, not that surprising to me

The Reds starting pitching has been better this year. The only consistent stinker has been the Finnegan/Reed slot - but I believe that slot is cursed for evermore due to the Reds cheapness in not even attempting to sign a perennial Cy Young candidate and replacing them with those placed in that slot.

One of those years, 2025 maybe, the offense and defense will both be decent at the same time.
