I certainly hope Finnegan is better this time out, but I don't have a lot of hope.

No sense of putting him on the 25 man roster until the day he starts. When should he join the team on location? A couple days before would be ideal, but I'm thinking they were planning to not start him if either of the first two games in Cincy were weathered out and a starter wasn't used, and they would skip Acuna's planned spot in the rotation, so no reason to bring him up just for him to go back if they lost a game to weather!

I was being facetious. Making fun of the Reds reluctance to start prospects their first day up.

I'm just hoping for 5 innings with 3 runs or less. That'll be a good step in the right direction. But I'm confident he'll dominate at some point this year

It’s tough to find even a decent defender in tonight’s lineup other than Barnhart and I guess Duvall.

That was the exact team I thought of when I read "worst Reds defense."

Though, to their credit, they added would-be gold glovers to the lineup throughout the year, such as Felipe Lopez, a young Edwin Encarnacion, and the slick-fielding Wily Mo Pena.

Yes at this point I would have Winker every day LF and Schebler and Duvall would be platooning in right with maybe an occasional day off for Hamilton where Schebler shifts over to center

I used to work with guys like him. They used to like for the Reds to loose so that they can throw stuff around the workplace, curse, and exclaim how right they are about everything.

Could have been a DP to end the inning. Swanson charging hard to try to get the DP, but the mound put a lot of overspin on it and it didn't carry as far as Darby thought and worked him over. Reds don't score anyway!

I think Randa, Aurilia, and LaRue were the best three defenders for their positions. Freel had dumb aggressiveness.

I always thought LaRue was incredibly overrated defensively behind the plate. I thought he had poor mechanics and allowed way too many balls to get away from him.

Aurilia was a corner INF playing SS at that stage of his career.
