I did not see one so I thought I would start a thread for discussion of the draft

I am shocked that the Browns took Mayfield.

Wow. I love Mayfield but I did not see him as the #1 overall guy.

I like it, they aren’t trying to get fancy and too cute. There’s a aura anytime Mayfields on the field. I’m glad he’s gone.

The Browns took Mayfield at 1? Really?!?!

I don't know about the Mayfield pick but I think the Browns will regret not taking Barkley. They could have taken Barkley and still got a QB at 4

I think the Jets would have taken Mayfield at 3 but I agree on Barkley.
I’m betting this pick is Bradley Chubb.

Wow Denzel Ward of OSU. Yes I thought it would be Chubb too

Bills trade up to get the 7th pick
Colts getting offensive line help with Nelson seems like a perfect fit
I agree that Mayfield at 1 is stretch. should have gone with Barkley. The 4 qbs at don't seem like there is clear one. Taking Mayfield doesnt maximize the value of the pick.

Allen over Rosen is insane.

Allen over Rosen is insane.
No it’s not. Rosen is the most overrated prospect since Jawalrus Russell. Allen played in a pro system that worked down the field a TON. Buffalo got the next Cam, he’s got the Sisteen Chapel of an upside.

Allen will be lucky to be Jake Locker, what an insult to Cam Newton this post is.

He has the highest upside outside of Lamar Jackson. He could also be the biggest bust.
I think he’s a better fit for Buffalo weather than Rosen is.

Curse the Browns for letting the Giants get Barkley. Can't wait to watch him run all over my Skins twice a year, that'll be fun.

Jaire Alexander seems a bit early, no? Certainly didn't expect him to be the top draftee from Louisville.

Steelers just traded Martavis Bryant to Oakland for a third round pick. Gruden building a solid receiving corps.

Same as it ever was. Watch him become a perennial Pro-Bowler.

James Daniels
On a side note, it seems like it’s a yearly tradition that ESPN goes to commercial break when the Bengals pick?
And it’s Price.

Billy Price from Ohio State to the Bengals. Good pick

I posted in the Bengals thread how I usually don’t like Ohio State players being pushed by fans, especially when Boom Herron was the only Buckeye taken in the Marvin era. Price is an exception. With Ragnow off the board, he’s a better fit than Daniels. Just hope he’s healed by training camp.

NFL teams are being notified today that Ohio State OL Billy Price, who suffered an incomplete pec tear at the combine, is expected to be ready for training camp in July without restriction, per his doctor’s letter.

I like the pick but talk about frustrating again that another 1st pick is already injured.

How far is Jackson going to fall? And, if he's still there, would the Browns consider him for their next pick? lol

That would be amazing. Two Heisman QBs for the same team in the same draft.

My Raider Grade:
-The trade down with what was on the board.... B- Really hoped to get an extra 2nd.
-Edmunds on the board when we pick again... EXTATIC!
-The pick... *sigh*
-Watching some tape and on just about every pass play he was pushed into Rosen's lap on almost everyone one. Looks fine on the run. D-
-Hearing we traded a 3rd for Bryant (hopefully he lays off the weed). GREAT!
Still upset we passed on Edmunds for a guy who needs a complete rebuild on his pass blocking.

The last time five quarterbacks were taken in the 1st round was in '99 (Tim Couch, Donovan McNabb, Akili Smith, Daunte Culpepper, & Cade McNown). None have been elected to the HOF but two (McNabb & Culpepper) were pro bowlers.
Six quarterbacks were taken in '83, which is the most ever (John Elway, Todd Blackledge, Jim Kelly, Tony Eason, Ken O'Brien & . . . Dan Marino). Four played in the Super Bowl, four were selected to play in the Pro Bowl, and three have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

I don't like much of what Gruden is doing. Don't think he has a clue anymore (and hasn't for many, many years).
Raiders attacked both sides of the Line, and in principle, that's a high floor move, but, move after move by Gruden seems to be undoing the growth the Raiders had made the last three years.

I can't say I'm a fan either. If he hadn't been given a 10 year contract I'd think he was only brought in to bring attention to the team as they moved to Vegas.

So, that's what they've been doing...
From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:
Bills president and CEO Russ Brandon resigned on Tuesday.
Per the Buffalo News, Brandon's resignation came following "an internal investigation into Brandon’s workplace behavior and allegations of personal misconduct." Reportedly, it was triggered by allegations of inappropriate relationships with female employees. Brandon initially denied the relationships when confronted by Bills owner Kim Pegula, but he has since left his post. Brandon was with the team for nearly 21 years and ran the club during previous owner Ralph Wilson's final years before the Pegulas bought the team.
