It’s a standard move. Take a struggling hitter and put him in front of the best hitter in the hopes he gets better pitches to hit.

What happened to the 6:40 starts? I thought they would keep the early starts until at least school was out and it started getting hot. During the broadcast last week they were talking about what a great idea it was as it allowed people to be home by 10.

In all seriousness, the wife and I got married last year at the top of the Stratosphere casino in Vegas. The package was around $800. With food, guests, hotel stay, pictures, etc. it came out to around $2000. If you're doing it on a budget, that might be an option.

Really hard to not overturn that. You pretty much have to assume he just doesn't have fingers because if he does they had to have touched the bag before the tag.

I don't usually get angry at the umps... but his hand touched the bag before the glove touched him... only call would be that they couldn't see the fingers if he made a fist or curled them in (so they wouldn't overturn).

I'm guessing that would be there reasoning. Duvall should be benched after nearly getting picked off twice. No reason for those plays to be that close.

Riggleman keeps effective relievers in the game longer than Priceless one... something I strongly support, it saves the arms in the pen in the long run

Yeah, if the Reds have a 200 inning guy this year, it could be a reliever.

One thing I wonder is why every team takes advantage of the short GABP fences except the Reds.

Duvall needs to ride the bench. I dont care that he hits some Homer's. He ain't good.

Duvall’s plate discipline has actually improved this year. My theory is that he’s having trouble catching up to the fastballs; he’s lost bat speed; and he’s swinging too hard and wildly. I’m not sure there’s an answer to that.

They should give him some time off, use him against lefties, and eventually let him go. Maybe try him agains later in the season. Right now, he’s not accomplishing anything.

Some nights the ball sails for both teams and you end up losing or winning a game 10-8 (ususally followed by a game decided by 2-0)

On average, 5 a night is enough... in reality, on nights when both pitching staffs are bad, lack of hitting in the clutch (especially when given an extra out) is squarely on the offense
