Why is he given the chance to dictate when he returned to the bigs? If I remember correctly, he made it pretty clear he was done in AAA after his one (really bad) start.

I don't see the Nationals or Dodgers being held hostage by an unproven pitcher. Williams needs to have a firmer hand in controlling players. Send him back to AAA until he proves he's ready. So sick of the amateur BS.

Last time Finnegan said he was really still in spring training. My reaction was to send him on a flight to Goodyear.

I have no idea about his long term future, but Finny should not be starting games for the Reds right now.

Let him get his rhythm back in minor league games.

Mella is at AA for the second year, he’s been in the minors since 2012, he’s pitching great.

He’d effectively be skipping AAA (only one game there last season), but I see nobody at AAA who should have a Reds rotation spot right now.

The issue is whether he’d be rushed, but he’ll be 25 in August and there’s precedent for bringing guys directly up from AA.

They brought Castillo up directly from AA Pensacola last year, but he's been no great shakes this season.

This is the Reds problem, their best option is in AA and would have to skip a level. Not good.
