I hope the REDS win their 4th game this week. I like our chances with Mahle starting.

There's a positive vibe reverberating through the organization that the players can't help but feel. Nothing like a long plane ride out West to warm and sunny Los Angeles to put life into perspective. Hope it leads to more of the increased effort and results we've seen lately.

Lately, I've felt confident with Tyler, ok with Sal and Luis and stomach churning nauseous when its Homer or Finny.

Yeah. You’re still not getting to bed until 1130 at the earliest.

That’s one good thing about the team being terrible. You’re not hanging on every pitch until 2am on these west coast trips and going into work the next day zombiefied.

That’s a definite for me.

Thing is I’ve always loved watching night games at Dodger stadium. Something about that place, the history, the unique sound of their organ, and the ambiance just makes it feel like an event. It’s just too damn late for us in the eastern time zone!

Back when Matt Kemp was just coming on for the Dodgers in 2011 and I was out in RCF of GABP with my son and some moron was just wearing Kemp out heckling him. Kemp never responded to him....at least not out there. I looked at my young son and told him that guy is getting Kemp extra focused. Kemp went on to have 3 hits (2 HR) and 6 RBI. His first HR literally soared right over our heads. After HR #2 I told the drunken heckler that he got him going. He left.

Why'd we keep Mes and get rid of Grandel again. What'd we get for Grandel? It's been so long, I forgot (not really, as Mes was supposed to be the superior all-around Catcher), but it sure seemed early to make that decision with neither player having proved themselves at the time.

Grandal went to the Padres in the deal for Mat Latos.

Grandal was traded in the Mat Latos acquisition.

Who knows why they kept Mes and traded Grandal.

Mes certainly got more love on RedsZone, but I doubt that was decisive, LOL.

I remember looking at the trade and thinking the catcher decision would determine the outcome. I didn’t have a preference, but two big time catching prospects.
