Both are 5’10
Both from Cincinnati

And um, they strongly resemble if same amount of hair on face and also

Disco gets first hitter on lazy fly to RF. Scooter makes nice sliding snag to his right to retire Heyward. Zobrist goes down swinging on a 86 MPH pitch. I assume that's his changeup.

JaxRed

Schwarber K's swinging. Russell flies to CF. In any other ballpark he'd be scoreless.

JaxRed
06-23-2018, 04:45 PM
Winker singles sharply to RF. Duvall then hits in FC to force him out at 2nd. Riggleman is having Disco bunt of course... Disco fails and K's. Billy fighting off a lot of pitches and then lines a foul that had the ball boy seeing his life flash before him. Then flies out.

Big Klu

Disoc walks the first hitter (Happ) on 3-2 pitch. If Cubs take lead I expect a visit from Wolves. Pitcher bunts successfully and LaStella lines to CF, runner does not advance. Heyward up. Heyward grounds weakly to Votto.

Votto was a little casual to my liking on that play.

It is the runners responsibility to run where he needs to to avoid the fielder making a play on a batted ball, so that is what he is supposed to do. that naturally helps him avoid the tag when the fielder eventually fields the ball.

I'm really not impressed with the Cubs - I think Maddon has been playing the new divisional genius enough to screw up some of his players just enough to let the Brewers get an upper hand in the division - and some of those players may be "trade" chips later on when they need to get another arm or two (or after this weekend, 3 or 4). The division is somehow coming back to the Reds level - the Reds will still likely finish last but I now think it'll be much closer to 3rd and 4th place than I did a month ago.

why anyone can be an internet writer (from cubs writer)
The Cubs are 4-1 in their last 5 Saturday games, 43-18 in their last 61 road games vs. a right-handed starter and 11-5 in their last 16 road games. The Reds are 4-1 in their last 5 during game 3 of a series, 8-24 in their last 32 Saturday games and 5-2 in DeSclafanis last 7 starts with 5 days of rest. The Cubs are 20-9 in the last 29 meetings in Cincinnati, 46-20 in the last 66 meetings and the Reds are 1-4 in DeSclafanis last 5 starts vs. Cubs.

It's only a matter of time before the Chicago Cubs get back on track, and it's certainly a matter of time before the Cincinnati Reds return to being the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds aren't going to be this hot for much longer, and DeSclafani is a pitcher who has allowed 19 hits and nine runs in just 15.2 innings of work this season. In 74 career at bats against current Cubs, DeSclafani is allowing a .270 batting average with a .308 on base percentage. This feels like the game where the Cubs can do some damage offensively and get a win to kind of right the ship a bit.

I like to see individual styles. I don’t like the pants-on-shoe look that the horrible 90s and some of the 2000s featured prominently, though. (Damn you, George Headrick. It was OK, I guess, when he was the oddball in the 80s. Then they all started doing it and stole the joy of stockings.)

Here is my 2 cents on the Reds recent 9 of 11 streak and 3 in a row over the Cubbies....
I love winning.
But unfortunately since the Reds decided to wait so long to get rid of the worst manager in MLB history, this season will prob end up as a wash.
If you are not in Playoff contention, I'd rather be dead last in baseball. Or at least top 3 worst to get that draft pick.
The difference in a top 3 draft pick compared to only a top 10 draft pick is like night and day.
It's just amazing how much difference a manager can make. Just look at the Cubs. They are not "The Cubs" without Maddon.
Jim Riggleman is by no means a great manager in my opinion. He's a decent manager. But the difference in Riggleman compared to Price is 100-1.
The Reds have the talent to win.
If they could hire Barry Larkin (If he is interested), Don Mattingly, Joe Girardi, or a similar "Player's Manager", spend a little money for a top of the rotation type pitcher or 2...
Throw in Senzel and hopefully a very good Hunter Greene, and this franchise could have a 5 year window to be winners again.
I don't see a few of these guys being around 2020-2022, but the pieces are obviously there to win.
It just takes PITCHING! Obviously. But pitching is what costs money$$$$
Peraza is only getting better, Winker could turn into a stud, Schebler is going to hit his homers, and Duvall will always provide power.
I just hope this thing gets turned around while Votto is still productive. We'll see I guess.
Oh yeah...and Suarez is ALREADY a STUD All Star.

Almost 60 years, THom. (59, to be exact.)

Math, the bane of THom Brennaman, rears its ugly head again.

Yes. I'm not 60, yet.

Btw, we win the series with one to play. Love it.

Winning baseball. Winning attitude. It's contagious.

Thom has been even more opinionated lately too, just so negative but HE knows what everyone should be doing, how they should play, hit, practice, etc. I can't believe he gets away with some of the crap he spews and how nasty he has been about so many of the Reds players. I was a little shocked the other night when he was being so loud with his disgusted sighs. His ego is out of control.

This winning thing is pretty good. I like it.

That GS by Disco was something else. I loved it. I especially loved because it Thom had been railing on the pitchers for play hone run derby in BP. Take that Thom!

Why did Maddon take Ferrell out so quick? Is he coming back from an injury and on a strict pitch count? Otherwise that was just weird and burnt the Cubs badly. Dunseung pitched like he had just been woke up.

Reds go for a sweep tomorrow. Pretty nice.

Former Stanford Cardinal, Alex Blandino gains a base on balls in 5 plate appearances, scoring his 12th run of the 2018 season.

Blandino gains his 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th assist on 31 total chances as a short stop for the 2018 season. Blandino participates in his 7th and 8th double play in 31 total chances as a short stop in 2018.

Go Stanford Cardinal baseball
