Forget the 7-game win streak. That's in the past. I enjoyed it. But, I don't care going forward. All I want is to win 2 of 3 from Atlanta, a 1st place Club, and do it on their field in front of their fans. The easiest way to do this is to win the first game, tonight.

I want to win tonight because it gives us the best chance to win the series, not to keep any streak going. All streaks come to an end, but winning series doesn't have to.

Foltynewicz, out since June 12 with right triceps tightness, will make his return Monday against the Reds. The 26-year-old returns to a brilliant 2.16 ERA and 94/33 K/BB ratio over 79 innings this season.

The REDS' patience at the plate will pay dividends against an inexperienced (he's not young at 27) pitcher returning from the DL.

IIRC, there's a nice big park in the middle of the Arizona desert that has a roof. I bet Thom would be very at home broadcasting games from there on a nightly basis. Just sayin'.

Gotta be honest, I can't believe that any team or municipality would waste any money on a stadium in 2018 or going forward that doesn't at least have an optional roof.
I love GABP, but having a retractable roof and knowing games would never be cancelled is great for your fanbase.

In fact, I went to a game at Safeco 2 years ago and they had to shut the roof a couple innings into the game. It took about 2 minutes and it was pretty cool to see.

Fixed your post for you. Why cities pay a billion plus to build a headquaters for a multi-billion dollar corporation in order to create mostly minimum wage jobs is the big question? If you are doling out those kinds of funds it may as well be for a Toyota or Amazon to move to the community.

I've been to a game at Miller Park. It's a bit of a novelty, I'll admit, but even when the roof is open you feel like you are indoors, inside an arena or big warehouse.

And baseball is supposed to be an outdoors game, IMO.

If you look at the small amount it was across the foul line when the camera first picked it up about 10' past 1st base, and the much greater amount it was away from the foul line about 50' past 1st, the extrapolation seems to me it was no doubt fair when it passed over 1B. He must have hit that ball when it was quite a bit in front of home plate. For every foot you increase the contact point in front of the rear point of home plate you increase the wideness of the angle that a ground can take and be fair.

Not much protest from Reds, either. Just think if we had a camera down the line and it was reviewable (is it? Can't recall) then maybe it would show up foul.
