My stance doesn’t change. He wailed twice at bad pitches first AB...battled a walk impressively and before that HR had a bad swing out of zone and fouled off two other pitches well into the zone he usually line drives.

He’s my favorite Reds player....he won that AB too, but my stance remains that he doesn’t see the ball well off of Chatwood, doesn’t mean he can’t improve as he continues to see a lot of his pitches.

They really set the Tigers on fire when they gave Simon for Suarez. Duvall was a "throw in" for Leake, Disco for Latos, and Schebler, Peraza, Dixon for Frazier were all actually fantastic deals for the Reds. Peraza is just getting better day after day.

You have a 5 run lead already, already 1 out, Peraza is a speedster, and Zobrist has at best an average arm.

But he only deserved 2 of them.

And now Winker is trying to bunt.
I'd like to tap Riggleman on the back of his head with a bat each time he decides to take the bat out of a GOOD hitter's hands: "Don't do that."

Yeah, rooting for them to lose games isn't anywhere near the same thing as rooting for them to end up like Roy Halladay, Cory Lidle, Thurmon Munson, or Roberto Clemente would be, and you didn't have to clarify it, no one would have thought that's what you meant if you hadn't.

Incompetence? That's rich.

Losing a ball in the sun or lights is the most helpless feeling you can have on the baseball field. The other players, the bench, and the fans can all see the ball because they are at a different angle. But the player on the spot is helpless.
